Selecting Context and Sources in AI Chat
Controlling What the AI Reads (Context Selection)
One of acemate's most powerful features is Context Selection. You decide exactly which documents the AI uses to answer your questions, ensuring the information is relevant to your current study session.
How to select context
When you ask a question or select a suggestion chip, a Sources Menu will appear above the input bar.
Select Folders: Check the box next to a folder (e.g., "Test Folder") to include all files inside it.
Select Specific Files: Expand a folder and check individual files (e.g., "Test File 02") if you only want answers derived from that specific document.
Confirm: Once selected, send your message. The AI will only analyze the checked items.
Changing Context
If you want to switch topics (e.g., from "Calculus" to "Statistics"), simply uncheck the previous files in the sources menu and select the new relevant documents before asking your next question.
