Understanding AI Tutor Responses & Citations
Verifying Answers with Citations
The AI Tutor is designed to be transparent. It doesn't just give you an answer; it shows you where that answer came from.
Reading the Response
The Explanation: The AI will provide a text summary, often using bullet points or steps.
Math & Formatting: Complex equations (like Logit Masking formulas) will be rendered clearly using mathematical formatting.
Images: If you uploaded documents with diagrams, the AI may reference or explain those visuals.
Using Citations (Sources)
At the bottom of every AI response, look for the Sources section.
It lists the specific files used (e.g., "Test File 02").
Clicking a citation often allows you to jump to that specific part of the document (depending on file type) to verify the information yourself.
Troubleshooting "Low Confidence"
If the AI cannot find the answer in your documents:
Ensure you selected the correct files in the Context Selection menu.
Check if the document was uploaded using Advanced Extraction (better for reading handwriting or complex scans) vs. Basic Extraction.
